Archery GB, the national governing body for the sport of Archery in Great Britain and Northern Ireland has announced its 2014 field rankings. The rankings are based upon the top three 2-day scores from qualifying tournaments.
Lesley has topped the ranking list and is the number one Ladies American Flatbow archer in Great Britain. Her score of 1134 not only ranked her first among the women but was higher than the top ranked gentleman who scored 1039 points. This is a great achievement.
Lesley said ‘There are eight bow classes in field archery and the flatbow discipline is the only class where a lady is scoring more points than a man. My average two day score this year is 378 points and I am hoping to improve on this. My aim is to become the first Isle of Man field archer to gain Grand Master Bowmen status. I gained two Grand Master Bowman scores last year but I need to score three in one year to gain such status.’
