The Office of Fair Trading is taking its 'Scam Awareness' message on the road.
It's using the community mobile library to give advice to communities around the Island.
One of the most common issues reported is people being contacted by scammers purporting to be Microsoft support staff - card information is exchanged in return for what turns out to be bogus advice.
Chief inspector of Trading Standards John Peet says, so far, raising awareness has drastically reduced incident levels:
