Youth and long-term unemployment is falling dramatically - as new government initiatives begin to pay off.
That's according to Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly following the announcement that 200 people have been helped into work.
The department has boosted its existing pot to support the change by £300,000 and established programmes with an emphasis on vocational training.
Numbers of people out of education, employment and training has fallen by 20 per cent over the last year and unemployment in people aged 16-24 has dropped by nearly 25 per cent.
