Man pleads 'not guilty' to his daughter's manslaughter

A Ballaugh man will stand trial after pleading not guilty to the manslaughter of his 10-year-old daughter.

45-year-old Raymond French appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday where he entered the pleas.

He also denied causing death by dangerous driving and a third charge of causing serious bodily harm by dangerous driving.

He was involved in a fatal car crash, involving a bus, near to Ballakaighan Corner on October 5th 2013.

The case has been adjourned until April 20th when a trial date is expected to be set.

He has been bailed until his next court appearance.
