Plate:

Manx Glass Saints v SMP Ballasalla C

Division one Saints take on division two Balla C in the first of our plate semi finals. Saints are sitting second from bottom in their division and Balla C are sitting in fourth in their division.  In theory this game should be Saints for the taking, but if we look at the stats they tell quite an interesting story, not only are Balla scoring an average of ten goals more per game they are also conceding three less goals too. If Balla can step on court confident and not intimidated by the fact Saints play in the division above then they could give winning a really good go, but I think the experience and strength of Saints will secure them a place in the final! Should be a great match though!

Thompson Travel 4 v PWC Emeralds

Thompson are sitting near the bottom of division two having won just two of their 18 league games, Emeralds are sitting in the middle of division one having won seven of their 16 games. Little separates these teams in terms of their goals scored , Thompson score two less goals per game but then they also concede five more. As this is a cup match though, Emeralds and Thompson could be fielding different teams from their league fixtures. Expect lots of backwards and forwards but I think Emeralds will just about nab it.

Vase

Team DQ v The Spaniards

These teams both play in Division One and have already played twice this seasons taking a win each. There is less than one goal between them on their scored and conceded goals. Spaniards have probably had an easier ride through the cup, and DQ came very close to knocking out some premiership competition. This game could really go either way, it will largely come down to whoever wants it more, expect a battle to the end, but Spaniards could just take this.

Thompson 1 v Absolute Scaffolding

Thompson play in the premiership and Absolute Scaffolding play in division one. Both teams have had mixed fortunes so far this season, Thompson winning five of their matches and Absolute Scaffolding just three of their matches. The Absolute Scaffolding ladies have a tough defence but so do Thompson with Breeshey Harkin and Kirree Kermode keeping tight control around the D. Should be a good match but one which will see Thompson earn themselves a place in the final for the first time in a good while!

Cup

SMP Ballasalla A v Toomraiders

Both teams play in the premiership, sitting in second and fourth place respectively. Balla A have come off victorious in their two league encounters this season, although it was by no means an easy task, as Toomraiders put up a good fight. Ballasalla are a slick operation and demonstrate great team work and Toomraiders have had some new blood this season and have put in consistently good performances. Should be a great match but it will be Ballsalla securing themselves a place in the final.

Route one Connections v Simcocks Red Eagles

Premiership league leaders Route One take on last year's premiership and cup winners Simcocks Red Eagles in what should be a great game of netball. Simcocks will know they can't possibly win the league so the cup is their only chance at silverware this season, but Route One want the cup and league so badly after being in Simcocks and Balla's shadow for a few years now. These teams have met twice in league fixtures and have each taken a win, but Simcocks have lost some key players this second half of the season, which has had an impact on their results. A thrilling game of netball but Route one for the final.
