An Onchan woman who punched a police officer after a family dispute will be sentenced later this month.
22-year-old Aimee Minty pleaded guilty to the offence at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week.
Police were called to her home address at 10.40pm on February 20th after neighbours reported hearing shouting and an argument.
They tried to resolve the issue and Minty agreed to leave the property and stay with a friend - however she didn't and went back into her bedroom.
When a policeman followed to speak to her she was said to "launch herself" at him, punching out and striking him in the face - it caused swelling and he was signed off work.
The court heard how she had spent the evening at a wake at a local pub and didn't recall punching the officer.
Probation reports have been requested before sentencing on March 31st.
