The jury in the trial of a Castletown man accused of murder has been dismissed.
The 12 jurors, who were sworn-in on Monday, were officially released by Deemster Montgomerie this morning.
He told the panel that sometimes matters arise which result in a court having to discharge a jury – but for “obvious reasons” couldn’t go into detail as the case will be retried by another jury.
46-year-old Ian Anderson, from Castletown, denies murdering 60-year-old Ballabeg man Neil Roberts in December 2013.
A new trial date is expected to be set in due course.
