A small band of archers met at Onchan on Sunday to shoot a Metric round as part of the Club’s Handicap League. All of the shooters, with the exception of junior James Hill, shot on a triple face target.
There were mixed fortunes for the archers with some shooting well below their best, while others shot well above. The largest improvement on the day was made by James Hill who added a marvellous 66 points to his personal best score. After the handicap was applied James easily took first place. Josh Trafford also shot well, breaking the 500 barrier for the first time on a triple face target. Josh improved his pb by 29 points.
Karen Lott showed a welcome return to form after a bit of a slump.
Compound archers Pete Mumford and Joy Gough shot solidly and carried the round on into the afternoon to shoot a double. Their results meant that Peter Mumford broke the record he set earlier in the month and Joy Gough set a new club record.
Rhys Moore elected to shoot a different round and was not included in the results table.
