The Island's dental service is far from perfect but is moving in the right direction.
Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle says changes to the salaried service are now starting to pay off.
Two clinics, in Ramsey and Douglas, which have been contracted to independent dental companies are helping to bring waiting lists down.
Dental treatment is also being offered to those patients who don't have a continuing relationship with a dentist - Mr Quayle says that's important:
