Police are investigating after a "frightening" incident where nails were left on one of the Island's green lanes.
A piece of wood with nails in it was left on the Cooil Roi lane at Barroose in Baldrine - a serious offence under the Road Traffic Act.
Police say its purpose is clearly to cause injury or damage to users of the lane who include walkers, bike riders, horses and motorcyclists.
Sergeant Gary Heaton has branded it "incredibly irresponsible" and has asked the public to be vigilant and report any further incidents like this.
