More community first responders needed

More community first responders are needed to help save people's lives in an emergency.

There's a renewed push for the volunteers who provide a vital link between someone taking ill and receiving medical treatment.

With only three ambulances serving the Island they ensure that the person is kept stable and comfortable whilst waiting.

Gerry Jones is a first responder and is co-ordinating a new series of training sessions - he told us exactly how they work:
