Local man worked on Oscar winning film

A local man is riding high this week after a short film he worked on in London won an Oscar.

'The Phone Call' starring Sally Phillips and Jim Broadbent was awarded the 'Best Short Film' - also scooping the top prize at the Tribeca Awards in New York.

Former Island resident Chris Chambers worked as the third assistant director on the short feature.

Since leaving the Island a few years back, he's worked on a number of projects, more recently as a location scout for a number of high profile TV dramas.
