The consortium behind plans to save Ramsey Post Office says it hopes to have a decision by April.
Those wishing to put forward proposals to stop the crown office moving into the SPAR store were recently given more time.
The Post Office board has extended the deadline until March but warned that any ideas must still find the savings needed.
The consortium is made up of a number of professionals including lawyers and accountants - chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners Nigel Malpass says things are moving forward:
