MHK queries domestic rates legislation

An MHK is looking for answers on new domestic rates legislation.

Douglas West politician Chris Thomas will grill the Treasury Minister on how the proposals will affect ratepayers in Tynwald tomorrow.

Eddie Teare will be asked what proportion of local authority and water rates will be levied from domestic properties and which costs would be affected by the changes.

It's also being queried as to whether or not single occupancy and income related discounts are under consideration.
