Planning is not about democracy says Minister

Planning legislation for the Island needs to be modernised so it's less bureaucratic.

That's according to the Department of Infrastructure which says the system is integral to sustaining things economically, environmentally and socially.

Public feedback is currently being sought on the Isle of Man Strategic Plan which will decide on how land is developed until 2026.

However Minister Phil Gawne says there is something people have to understand first:
