A teenager from Port Erin has been sent to prison for 14 weeks for being drunk and disorderly outside a nightclub.
19-year-old Christian Polizzi was sentenced at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week after pleading guilty to the incident on December 14th last year.
He was arrested outside Tahiko, at the Palace Hotel and Casino, after a disagreement with door staff - and bystanders in the smoking area - which saw him ejected.
He ended up shouting aggressively and swearing before struggling with police as he was arrested - trying to make off from them once handcuffed.
His advocate said he accepted his behaviour was "unacceptable" admitting he shouldn't have reacted to the provocation.
Sentencing him Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes told him he had "overreacted" and said the case was aggravated by the fact he had breached a suspended sentence.
Telling him he couldn't continue to offend in the way he was doing she handed him six weeks custody and activated eight weeks of the previous suspended sentence.
Polizzi has also been banned from entering licenced premises and from buying alcohol for six months
