£2 million which has been set aside to improve the Island's health service is "insufficient".
That's the message from the Department of Health and Social Care which has responded to questioning about the on-going review of the service.
The Health Inspection Fund was established by Treasury last year to help make changes highlighted by the West Midlands Quality Review Service.
According to the department some of the recommendations coming from the review team will require "radical changes" which will therefore require additional resources.
A part-time programme manager has recently been appointed - business cases put forward to act on suggestions show £8 million of funding will be needed.
Further reports on cancer care and general surgery are due to be published in the near future.
