Children's strategy to go forward without publiccomment

Members of the public will not be allowed to comment on a new five-year Children's Strategy.

The document which will be used until 2019 builds on recommendations from a previous plan which ended in 2012.

It will go before Tynwald in March but won't go out to public consultation first because of concerns this would "delay its implementation".

However the Cabinet Office says the strategy will be subject to regular review throughout its lifespan.
