The Isle of Man's bid to host the 2016 British Cycling Championships has been submitted.
Intentions to host the major event were announced last April - important planning work has been on-going since then to ensure the Island is up to the task.
Many possible routes have already been established - a decision on whether we have been successful is expected by the end of March.
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly was asked in the House of Keys yesterday if a successful bid could result in a long-rumoured velodrome facility for the Island:
