Vandals smash original window in historical police station
Wed, 04 Feb 2015
Vandals who smashed an original window at Castletown Police Station have been slammed for their "unnecessary" actions.
One of the front windows was broken at around 9.30pm on Monday.
Police say whilst it can be fixed a piece of history will be lost - officers believe the window was one of the oldest in the building.
The police station was built in 1901 by Bailie Scott to replace the original station that stood by the Castle Gate.
