Cretney to stand in Legislative Council elections

South Douglas MHK David Cretney has confirmed he will be standing in the upcoming Legislative Council elections.

If successful it will bring an end to a 30-year career in the House of Keys.

He's served a number of ministerial roles in this time earning the nickname the Minister of Fun.

David has been a longstanding critic of the legislative election process - yearning for the decision to be left in the hands of the public and not his political peers.

He says he hopes his loyalty and longstanding service to his constituents will be taken into account:
