Government and interested parties have been consulting over £20 million hotel plans for the Langness Peninsula.
The former Castletown Golf Links Hotel site is the subject of designs being drawn-up by a London-based architect and site owners, construction firm, Dandara.
An initial consultation has already taken place - and the company insists stakeholders are expressing an interest for the area to be redeveloped as soon as possible.
The Southern Area Plan dictates that the site could become a hotel if it's 'commercially viable to do so'.
A Dandara spokesperson says for that to be the case it needs to be accompanied by residential development.
A planning application for the project is expected to be submitted later this year.
