Foreign people living on the Isle of Man should have to speak the "common language" in order to be included.
That's according to the Chief Minister who's been quizzed on government's policy on communicating with the public.
In the House of Keys this week it was revealed that various materials from departments are translated into 26 languages as well as English.
The Department of Education and Children's bilingual service costs over £168,000 - something that concerns Onchan MHK Peter Karran.
