Police have been criticised for failing to get paperwork ready on time for a burglary case which is progressing through court.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday a 36-year-old man from Onchan appeared for committal but the case had to be adjourned for two weeks.
The man, who is yet to enter pleas, faces three charges including one for aggravated burglary which is alleged to have taken place in November.
Acknowledging officers were under strain due to the jump in burglaries this month Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes said it was "ironic" they'd failed to get the documentation organised.
