The new Landlords and Tenants Bill needs completely redrafting - already.
That's the opinion of the Tynwald committee which was charged with the task of reviewing the extensive document.
Former Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw wanted the bill updated to set a minimum standard for rented accommodation on the Island.
During a consultation period a number of landlords voiced their opposition to the planned changes - branding it far too weighted in the tenants favour.
Former MHK Bill Malarkey assisted the Landlord's Committee in an advisory role - he says he's content that the recommendations address this issue:
