There's been a 'discerning decrease' in festive drink drive arrests over the last two years.
Seven drivers were arrested on suspicion of drink driving over Christmas and New Year in 2014.
Three people were charged, and four were released with no further action.
Those figures compare with 19 arrests in 2012 - where 16 people charged to court - and 12 arrested with charges to four individuals in 2013.
The report was compiled as part of a collaborative campaign by police, Public Health and the Road Safety Team - which focused solely on drink-related issues over the festive period.
