Minister says new care provider offers better value for money

Over 200 people have signed a petition to stop children's services on the Island being moved to the St. Christopher's Fellowship.

The Children's Centre has lost contracts to provide residential care, leaving care and a 'wraparound service' in a Health and Social Care shake up.

61 jobs are at risk if further contracts are lost - the family services contract remains with the long-standing centre in the interim.

Minister Howard Quayle says St. Christopher's offered the better package:
