Manx police help rescue lost walkers

Walkers who got lost in the Lake District were helped to safety by police on the Island after they picked up their SOS call.

The couple dialled 999 when they lost their way in Bowfell - the call was picked up by officers here who were the nearest emergency services to their location.

They alerted the Langdale Ambleside Rescue Team and a Sea King helicopter was sent out - after three and a half hours the duo were found at Cockley Beck.
