MHK blasts Chief for 'burden' comments

Pensioners are "outraged" by the Chief Minister's use of language in describing their effect on the Manx economy.

Liberal Vannin Leader Kate Beecroft says she's spoken to a number of people who say they are hurt by comments made relating to the demographic.

Allan Bell described the problem of the Island's growing elderly population as a "burden" and says government is trying to develop a system that is fair and supports those in need.
