Noble's Hospital was over budget and spending £4.5 million more than publicly revealed in September.
That was the admission made by Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle in the House of Keys yesterday.
Douglas West MHK Chris Thomas quizzed him saying government was £14 million better off than expected last year and he believed the department was using the extra cash.
