Property owners are being reminded of their legal obligations to meet safety requirements - or risk facing a hefty fine.
It follows a spate of prosecutions for contraventions of The Fire Precautions Act.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service found that only 19 per cent of properties passed inspections first time, with 44 per cent needing a re-inspection - 20 per cent required four checks or more.
