A public consultation into the Countryside Care Scheme has been launched by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
By the end of this financial year it will have dished out around £6.8 million to 350 recipients - supporting farmers in becoming more market-focussed.
Recommendations like capping the maximum payment at £160,000 and extending the life of the scheme by a further five years are being suggested.
Stakeholders are asked to participate in the consultation - which will run until January 16th.
