Death by dangerous driving teenager due to be sentenced today

A teenager who admits causing the death of an Onchan girl by dangerous driving will be sentenced today.

18 year old Craig Bridgewater was driving a Ford Fiesta when it crashed on the Switchback road near to Peel in March of this year.

14 year old Lucia Porter lost her life as a result of the incident, she was one of seven passengers in the car, which belonged to one of Bridgewater's friends.

It's expected sentencing will take place at Douglas courthouse at around 2.15pm.
