The Department of Infrastructure says it's 'reasonably prepared' for any weather-related problems on the roads this winter.
Minister for Infrastructure Phil Gawne told us that 'freak' storms could well impact the winter budget.
In recent years significant flooding and the snowfall of 2013 have added significant financial strain to the departments budgets.
Over the last few years, the Island has seen adverse conditions that have caused serious damage to the roads.
