Police are asking people to check in on their elderly neighbours through the winter.
They want people to be good neighbours and take time to check if their houses are warm enough or offer to go shopping for them.
Officers are also suggesting people invite their neighbours in for a cup of tea so they have company and don't feel isolated.
In addition they're asking people to swap contact details with other friends and relatives so that if there is an emergency they can be easily contacted.
