An 18-year-old from Peel who's pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving will be sentenced next week.
Craig Bridgewater appeared at Douglas Courthouse this morning for sentencing but was told a Newton Hearing is needed before the case can progress.
This will take place next Monday morning with sentencing due to follow afterwards.
Bridgewater has admitted one charge of driving dangerously on the Switchback Road near Peel on March 8th - it crashed resulting in the death of 14-year-old Lucia Porter.
Deemster Montgomerie apologised to the families involved for the delay saying he appreciates everyone wants to see the case resolved.
