Twitter has played a part in replacing four Manx flags which thieves stole from a memorial in Port St Mary.
The flags were taken from the Mona's Queen Anchor site at Kallow's Point at the start of August with police blasting those responsible for their "lack of respect".
The memorial commemorates the men and women of the Merchant Navy who sacrificed their lives during Operation Dynamo.
Officers posted the details of the crime on social media leading to the company @Newton Flags offering to replace the items.
The new flags were handed over earlier this week at the opening of a new garden of remembrance in the village.
