Work is progressing well on the construction of the police's new custody block.

More than 30 units have been transported from Swansea by a cargo vessel - they'll be craned into position at Police Headquarters.

The existing facility has reached the end of its operational life after providing 30 years of service.

It forms part of the Department of Home Affairs' plans to consolidate its detention facilities - Minister Juan Watterson says this new approach carries many benefits:
