There's good news for the retail sector as plans to cut parking times on Douglas promenade have been reversed.
The proposals, announced in October, saw the two-hour parking on the prom slashed to just a one-hour stay in an effort to encourage greater throughput of short term users.
It resulted in outcry from the town's retailers who were concerned it would have a damaging impact on trade.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says although the initial proposals would have saved £200,000 he has to listen to concerns:
