Tidal power development progressing well

The people behind plans to create a tidal power development in Manx waters say they're confident they will come to fruition.

Government says leasing the seabed could generate around £5 million a year with no development costs incurred as they would all be borne by private companies.

Manx Tidal Energy is one of the companies progressing the idea, chief technology officer Simon Piggott says work is progressing well, with three assessment reports already carried out.
