Improvement works have started today on a busy route in Union Mills.
Resurfacing work is being carried out on Strang Road to ensure it's meeting the expected traffic requirements.
It will be done in three stages between Peel Road and Mount Rule Road in order to minimise disruption.
The scheme is expected to take five weeks to complete and during that time Strang Road will be closed between 9am and 4.30pm.
Local residents are asked to park their vehicles outside the areas where work is taking place.
