Archery Report

Sat, 01 Nov 2014

The IoM Archery Club were once more in action at Onchan on Sunday. The round of the day was a WA18 Triple Face for the Seniors and a WA 18 Full Face for the Juniors. It was shot as part of the Club’s Handicap League.
Most of the archers seemed to be a little below par with only two managing to improve on their personal best scores. Even sisters Aalin and Kirsten George were well below their best, after handicapping Aalin had to settle for sixth place and Kirsten ninth. Karen Lott, who improved her pb by 7 points was justifiably pleased with her performance which proved to be the highest scratch recurve score of the day.
The highest scratch compound score came from Dave Moore but after handicapping he had to settle for second place alongside Josh Trafford.
Danny Cowin was annoyed to record a miss just before the lunch break but he still went on to add 2 points to his pb. His score after the handicap was applied made him the clear winner on the day.
