More students will be able to train on Island to help address the skill shortages within the engineering industry.
Almost £5 million of investment has improved facilities at the Isle of Man College to allow for increased capacity.
A new engineering centre at the former Water Authority works will specialise in electrical, mechanical and motor-vehicle engineering - this in turn has freed up construction room.
