A Douglas man has pleaded guilty to two drugs charges after police raided his home under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
57-year-old David Buttery appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday charged with cultivating and possessing cannabis.
Police executed a search warrant at his home on October 6th and seized 35 exhibits including five mature cannabis plants, growing equipment and vegetable matter.
Defending him Mr Buttery's advocate said it was not a "sophisticated growing system" and the drug was being taken medicinally with food, as opposed to being smoked.
The case has been adjourned for reports to be compiled - Mr Buttery has been bailed until his next court appearance on November 18th.
