An expert on climate change will deliver the annual UN Day address in Douglas.
It follows Professor Brian Matthews' analysis of research from Port Erin laboratory data alongside additional data from across the globe.
The discussion will focus on whether real climate change is in the top layer of the oceans and growing exponentially.
He says the Island is unusually affected by both tropical and polar water - as hotter water passing it is followed by colder Arctic meltwater.
The professor says it's perfect for conducting further research into its global effects:
