Castletown's struggling retail sector could be boosted if the Commissioners support Tesco.
That's the claim from the owner of Callow's Yard who says the retailer is still keen to open an Express store on Malew Street.
Roy Tilleard is asking the commissioners to support Tesco's bid for an alcohol licence - without one it won't open.
It's the next step in a long running battle to bring the supermarket to the town with a number of failed applications already.
Mr Tilleard says he has also been in discussions with Poundland which would look to open a Dealz store if Tesco got the go-ahead.
He says both stores would bring substantial footfall to Castletown which would benefit all traders.
