Citywing says it won't operate to Blackpool Airport again until at least March next year.
It follows the closure of the airport yesterday after a new buyer couldn't be found.
The company had said it would suspend flights for a month however it now says there's no chance of reinstating the route before 2015.
20,000 people travelling to and from Blackpool each year on 18 flights a week now have to find an alternative.
