New masterplan launched for Douglas

How the quay could look

Government says it has a "bold vision" for the future development of Douglas.

The Central Douglas Masterplan has been launched which aims to encourage private investment in the town and help grow the economy.

People are being invited to see if they share that view - a six-week consultation has now started.

Among the things the plan addresses are the "gateways" to the capital, increasing retail opportunities and creating better civic space.
