Government could receive royalties if a gold rush is found following surveys by an Isle of Man-based mining company.
That's according to senior manager for energy policy Dr Ken Milne - who says scans will soon be conducted by helicopter before land samples are taken.
The commodity price for gold and silver has increased over the last few years - an opportunity that Isle of Man Mining Ltd. is looking to exploit.
