Ramsey lifeboat rescues stranded catamaran

Ramsey Lifeboat was called out over the weekend to rescue a catamaran.

The alarm was raised when a member of the public spotted the dismasted craft near to the Point of Ayre in Bride on Saturday.

The rapid tide swept The 'Hobie Cat' and it's one crewman drastically off course.

The boat was intercepted approximately three miles north-west of the Point of Ayre at 4.35pm.

The vessel was then safely towed back into Ramsey by the lifeboat.
